WIP of something Im working on and my current setup in Krita (it changes a lot)  Im running Krita 2.9 pre-alpha.  Basically the latest, not-stable build.
I like to have a low clutter environment.  But I also like to have most of my tools easily accessible, with as little menu navigating and tabbing as possible.  These values can clash. Cuz I also like a fair amount of room to see all my layers, and brushes, and a large color selector (the bigger the color selector, the more colors you have, which is why I dont have any of the nice customizable color selector options).  I often mess with my environment depending on my mood and what I value most at the current time. I hope that one day I can have a comfortable desk and a big screen to work on, haha.  For now, this does fine :)

Was feeling bleh and artblocky, so I decided to do a prompt from the Wysp prompt generator.  The prompt was “The Thieves” and the challenge was “Draw an animal skull”.  Don’t think I got “thief” across very well, and that is a horribly inaccurate salamander skull, but hey, I painted something!

Big Col’, 2014

I tried digital painting for the first time using Colin Walker from Albannach as my model. I used a Bamboo Fun tablet and Krita, which I highly recommend. (Unfortunately, as far as I know, I think it only runs on Windows. Sorry, Mac users.)
If anyone has tips on streamlining the digital painting process, please share!

No, Krita runs on mac… sorta. It’s still buggy.
